Corns are areas of thickening of the skin seen typically on the soles of feet due to the improper pressure of ill-fitting footwear.  If neglected, they can increase in size and cause immense pain while walking. They can also get infected and lead to the formation of abscesses under the thickened skin.

Treatment includes wearing comfortable and padded footwear, treatment of infection if any and excision of the corn with subsequent regular dressings.
